History of Tiwanaku
Located 3825 meters above sea
level, in areas where it does not grow more than the "ichu" or Matoj own
the highlands, Tiwanaku cultural splendor reveals a past more ancient
than the Inca empire, in a few places that carry icy temperatures when
the winds blowing from the snowy peaks surrounding Titicaca.
Origin, myths and legends
Tiwanaku remains to present a conundrum over who make up the history of
the cultures of the Andes. His own name was a matter of controversy as
assigned Quechua or Aymara origin, and has received numerous
translations, such as stone in the middle, from the creator, etc..
