Hydrocarbon production
The national hydrocarbon products are natural
gas and oil condensate which transforms the vehicular natural
gas and liquefied petroleum gas, in addition to diesel and
derivatives, such as propane, ethanol, and kerosene. Part of the
production is for domestic consumption, while the main markets
for exporting natural gas are Argentina and Brazil.

Tarija

Tarija has the advantage of possessing the largest reserves of
both natural gas and crude oil. Its reserves amount to 85.7% and
84.4% of the national total respectively. His areas of
exploration are more important Sábalo, Margarita, San Alberto,
The Shed and others.

Santa Cruz
-
The main reserves in the department of Santa Cruz is located in
the Northern Integrated Amboró in the Park, in areas adjacent to
the Chapare in Cochabamba and Chaco, located south of the
department. The latter region is the richest in oil, to cover
three departments: Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca and Tarija. Natural
gas production comes from Santa Cruz to 10.6% and oil at 7.2% of
the total national production.

Reserves are located in the Cochabamba region
chapareña, adjacent to the department of Santa Cruz. The most
important fields in Cochabamba are Bulo Bulo, Chimore, Surubí
among others. Its reserves account for 2.5% of natural gas and
7.7% of crude oil.
Chuquisaca
The department has at least eight areas of exploration, also
located in the Chaco. Many of these fields are located near
indigenous Guarani. Its reserves amount to 1.3% of natural gas
